Very sensible explanation, I know I bought the Costco size package in late February when I began to understand what was coming our way. However re: the idea of hoarding, I also wondered whether some of the demand came from trying to find reassurance that we will at least be supplied with one (relatively inexpensive) thing. As in, we may not have healthcare, but at least we have toilet paper!
