I worry so much over my students if they have toothache or abscesses as their parents struggle to get time off of low wage jobs that don’t provide paid sick leave to take their children to appointments, and finding dentists who accept Medicaid is a challenge. For myself, I am so grateful that I insurance as I am undergoing cancer treatment. Even though I am extremely fortunate to have insurance and benefits, I expend so much time chasing forms and correcting claims. Every American should have access to healthcare.
