Great article, thanks! I found this really interesting because I am a K-5 special education teacher now teaching online. I notice that the challenges are, of course, different and that some students are responding well to virtual learning. Many are struggling because parents may work “essential” jobs and aren’t always there to encourage them to log on/create routine. However, there are also some great “wins” — a mom who is in her school herself who has created a whole homeschool routine for her daughters, and a child who I really think could qualify for the gifted and talented program is actually logging onto more the minimum sessions, and engaging with extra content I’m sending to his mother for enrichment.
